We have a well-established, continually funded fellowship in Pediatric Neuro-Oncology open to both oncologists and neurologists. This one year fellowship provides a dedicated curriculum in neuropathology, neuroradiology and advance imaging, general pediatric oncology and pediatric neurology. Tumor board
At weekly Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Tumor Board we review the diagnoses and comprehensive treatment plans of all these patients as well as referral consults and cases from across the country. |
Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Program
Under the direction of Paul Fisher, MD, The Beirne Family Director of Neuro-Oncology, and Carolyn Russo, MD, our Pediatric Neuro-Oncology program evaluates 50 new cases of brain and spine tumors annually plus follows a cohort of over 300 children already diagnosed with central nervous system tumors. These children are cared for by a comprehensive team of pediatric neurosurgeons, neuro-oncologists, neuropathologists, neuroradiologists, neuropsychologists, pediatric radiation oncologists, and palliative care specialists as well as an extensive school re-entry program and psychosocial support program. | Center of Excellence
